The reigning University football league champions, Kyambogo University will be visiting Bugema University on Wednesday in first leg of third semifinal at Bugema playground.

The tie that is anticipated to be one of the enticing encounter will be a repeat of 2018 semifinal where Kyambogo won home and away with a 3-0 aggregate score and both sides vowed to take the fixture.

Bugema University tactician Nyanzi Medie is confident that with his strong squad this time round, it’s their turn to avenge against any side that disturbed them last time and Kyambogo is inclusive.

“I take it as a pay back time, any team that beat us last season, now it’s the time to repay” bragging Nyanzi told media in a pre-match press briefing held at Kati Kati Restaurant Lugogo on Tuesday.

We are ready and have enough tactics to eliminate Kyambogo, we have one of the attacking side that have scored many goals than any other team and Kyambogo has a weaker defense so am expecting like a 3-0 win in this tie” he elaborated.

As it was a battle of word on the day, Kyambogo University assistant tactician to Deo Sserwadda, Lobbo Christopher, revealed that they are not at any kind of pressure and taking Bugema as a side that can’t give them a big huddle to skip.

We are not at any kind of pressure, as their captain [Raymond Birahule] said, that they are the Underdogs in this tie, we going to play our game and again win the game because we are the side that beat them last season and this time round we have a stronger team than that of last season” Lobbo

Kyambogo University are the Defending champions of this league that started in 2012 and they want to equal MUBS record of Winning the trophy back to back.

However, Bugema, an emerging force in the championship, targeting to reach finals for the first time in their history.

The tie will be the first leg and the winner of both legs will be storming semifinals.
