The FUFA Competition Disciplinary Panel has today, Thursday the 11th September 2019 piled more misery onto Proline FC with a decision to dock off six points and a 5M fine.
The Disciplinary move came after Proline FC’s failure to honor her tie against Sc Villa at Lugogo. The Lugogo based side boycotted the game insisting that it was an international break date and had two players who were on National duty in Kasarani Nairobi.
The players were Mustafa Mujuzi and Bright Anukani who were in the Kenyan capital for a friendly match between Uganda Cranes and Kenya’s Harrambe Stars.
In the release by the Competition Disciplinary Panel.
“In consideration of the above findings, the FUFA Competition Disciplinary Panel orders that;
1. Proline FC loses the match against Sc Villa by forfeiture.
2. Proline FC be docked six points and six goals from those accumulated or to be accumulated in accordance with article 24(9) of the FUFA competitions rules.
3. That the table standings be updated accordingly.
4. For bringing the game into disrepute, Proline FC is fined 5M Uganda shillings to be paid by 18th September 2019”, partly reads the statement.
Proline lost 3-0 to Mbarara City in her opener, won 1-0 against Onduparaka in her second before she boycotted her third tie against Sc Villa.
The Lugogo based side will pay a visit to Police FC on Tuesday, the 15th October 2019 at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
