The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has today, Thursday 11th September 2019 suspended three Tooro United players for confronting a referee.
The three players in question confronted center referee Brian Miro Nsubuga questioning his decisions during their 1-0 loss to Vipers Sc held at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The trio are other team staffs to be suspended following the head coach’s red card in the same game. Wasswa Bbosa who will be back on the technical bench for his side against URA FC was shown matching orders by Brian Miiro in a game against Vipers SC at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
In the release by the Competitions Disciplinary Panel, the trio is to miss two of the team’s next encounters against URA (away) on Friday 13th September and KCCA FC at home in Wankulukuku on 2nd October 2019.
“The CDP in considering the case noted that all the players did indeed approach the match official after the game. Accordingly, the competitions Disciplinary Panel orders that;
1. Lwesibawa Godfrey, Kayiwa Ibrahim and Muhumuza Paddy be suspended for two FUFA competition matches.
2. The players are also warned as to their future conduct”, partly reads the statement.
Tooro United has lost her previous three league games to Vipers Sc (1-0), Wakiso Giants (1-0) and 2-0 against Maroons FC with only one win against Busoga United (1-) in her opener.
