The Federation of Uganda football association (FUFA) through it’s club licensing committee granted Tooro United permission to host their home games at St Paul Seminary playground Fortportal with effect from 1st October 2019.
The letter stamped by the FUFA CEO, Mr Edgar Watson Ssuubi on Monday 16th September 2019 brought smile to Tooro United fans who are again to enjoy the top-flight football as the practically watch their team play from their home area.
“The missing requirement (dressing room) have been temporarily put in order as per the recommendations after the first inspection.
In line with the above, Tooro United can host their home games at the ground with effect from 1st October 2019″ the letter partly reads.
Tooro has been hosting her home games at Wankulukuku since the start of this season and out of the two, the side won one (Tooro United 2-1 Busoga United) and lost one (Tooro United 0-2 Maroons FC).
But it should be remembered that when Tooro United shifted her home ground from Wankulukuku to Buhinga last season, the side did not loss any game in the 13 played at Buhinga stadium, they won 7 and drew four in all competitions.
Tooro United’s game at home will be on 5th October while hosting newcomers, Kyetume FC.
Tooro United who sit 9th on the log with 06 points are not the only side granted permission to return to their home ground, Arua based club, Onduparaka FC are also allowed to host from their Green light Stadium.
The league in now in recess until 1st October 2019 but SC Villa still top the table with 10 points in five games.
