Uganda U17 girls team under the guidance of women football ‘prophet‘ Ayub Khalifa won the inaugural COSAFA U17 Girls Championship, just concluded in Mauritius after beating South Africa 2-1 on final with Juliet Nalukenge and Fauzia Najjemba appearing on the score sheet.

After lifting the trophy, reactions and congratulation messages started to flood from all corners especially social media platforms with women football lovers giving opinion and ideas towards the direction of women football in Uganda.

The former Kawempe Muslim goal poacher and currently at South Western Oklahoma State University, Sandra Nabweteme in her statement wrote on her official Facebook page, she insinuated about the change of technical team at senior national women’s team the Crested Cranes if Uganda is to win games and tournaments.
