Women Football: Kampala Queens, Olila Fail Club Licensing Test

With ten days to the new tune of Fufa Women Super League Kickoff, the Club licencing committee under the chairmanship of Ivan Kintu Bayige denied three top flight teams licence to feature in the league.

According to letter reached at Nim Sport Uganda’s news desk, Moses Magogo owned club,Kampala Queens, Soroti based side Olila High and She Corporates are the three among the eight that were denied licence due to poor state of their submitted grounds.

“Three clubs were able to submit the minimum requirements but their grounds do not meet the minimum standards” letter in parts.

” The clubs in this category are required to submit alternative grounds that meet the minimum standards with in 48hours” the letter continue to read.

Kampala Queens submitted Mugwanya preparatory school. Kabojja ground, She Corporates with MUBS ground while Olila submitted in Olila Ground.

“We are working on that boss, and I believe by tomorrow the issue will be sorted” She Corporates Media Officer, said when reach at via phone call.

The five clubs the met the licencing requirements, that is the Elite league current champions,UCU Lady Cardinals, Masindi based club, Lady Doves, four-time Elite league Champions, Kawempe Muslim, Muteesa I Royal and Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga.

The new league format of eight teams is expected to Kickoff on 02nd November 2019 on different grounds though the fixtures are yet to be released.
