The most on form player in Fufa women Super League currently, Nakasi Latifah scored twice as her side Uganda Martyrs High School Women Football Club beat Olila High 3-0 at St Gerald Grounds on Sunday evening.
High flying Latifa Nakasi bagged a brace to extend her tally to six goals but the five came in the previous three games.
She gave Nkugwa coached side a lead, 20 minutes into the game before she doubled the lead in 45th minute only seconds to the break.
Esther Naluyimba sealed Uganda Martyrs second consecutive win with a 71st minute strike to move her side Uganda Martyrs to the second place on the log.
“The win gave me much hope, it moved me to second position. I thank my players for playing under instructions and I am very happy for that. Our focus now is shifted to Sunday’s game against She Corporates” Rogers Nkugwa said after the win.
The ‘Kidda‘ girls secured seven points out of possible nine in their previous three games. The teams that have tasted Kidda girls’ bitterness include UCU Lady Cardinals who manage a one all draw, and Lady Doves and Olila High both losing 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.
The side (Uganda Martyrs) second on the log with 13 points three behind table leaders, Kawempe Muslim who have 16 points.
Olila High lost their fourth league fixture in five played. Latifa Nakasi and Fazila Ikwaput now lead the scorers’ log, both tied at six goals.
