Favour Nambatya of She Corporates (R) against Aisha Nantongo of Kawempe
Kawempe Muslim Ladies maintained her unbeaten run following a barren stalemate against She Corporates in a game held at Luzira Prison Ground on Sunday Evening.
Both sides show great momentum and enthusiasm for a win and it was an end to end encounter in the entire 90 minutes.
Few moments of goal scoring happened in the game, with she Corporates’ Favour Nambatya failing on two occasions to convert for her side in the 25th minute and 75th when putting ball over the bar.
Anitah Namata who won Kawempe their game against Kampala Queens over the weekend, She also failed to utilize the would be scoring opportunities especially in second half.
“Missing those two key players in Juliet [Nalukenge] and Stella Musibika affected us a lot because we were disorganized in defence and on striking line because we had no player who could put up that pressure upfront.” Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi told reports after the game.
This is the first game Kawempe dropped two points since the season started.
“Am so happy about the result, we came for three points but we settled for a point which is not bad for us because we’re playing against a good side, it has been on form.” Zzinda Ali said.
She Corporates and Kawempe secured their first draw of the season and the latter remained on the top of the table now with 16 points in six and She Corporates moved to seven points.
She Corporates in their next game will be at home hosting on form Uganda Martyrs High while Kawempe Muslim will pay a visit to third placed Lady Doves on weekend.
In other matchday fixture, Uganda Martyrs extended her winning run with a 3-0 Victory at home against Olila High.
The free scoring Nakasi Latifa bagged a brace while Esther Naluyimba scored their third.
